I agree with Justin Bieber.

Yep. Never thought I would say that.  What we agree on is SOPA. The Stop Online Piracy Act, or as I like to call it  – The Death to YouTube Bill. This bill would jail people for posting other people’s work on youtube, even their own performances of other people’s work. So Justin could then go to jail for the very videos that made him the new King of Pop. Irony!

I agree it is ridiculous. But I think it goes beyond whether or not I want to sing a cover of Yesterday by the Beatles (maybe with some different lyrics)

It’s about the freedom to express yourself online. To create Art for the shear sake of Art. I haven’t made a dime off anything I have put on YouTube. I don’t imagine I ever will, and even if I do make some change off it, it will never be enough to cover the costs of my equipment. You shouldn’t have to go to jail for a hobby. You shouldn’t have to go to jail for being a fan.

I am not a fan of Bieber’s. (though I do have some respect for him now) I am a fan of Pink Floyd…and I’ve been reading George R.R. Martin’s Song of Ice and Fire Series that HBO has based Game of Thrones on…Oh and did I mention it was Mashup week on Glee? I always find that inspiring.

CNN is reporting that the poverty rate has hit a new high at 15.1%.

That’s 46.2 million people living below the poverty line in. You can call it a recession or a double dip or whatever – but for 46 million people it’s a depression.

When stonygirl.com launched back in 2002… there were more posters than spam, and there weren’t that many posters.

Throughout the years I have had many a battle with spammers and bots… I have truly seen it all now. The old school spam was easy to spot and block. Mostly Viagra and online drugs adds long lists of links … then came the virus laden porn… once I finally got rid of those guys – it turned to the “new spam”.

The new spam is interesting. Half the time it’s illiterate, but it always seems to be kinda ass kissy. I can tell you how many spam-bots just seem to love my posting. If you don’t believe me check out the first post on this blog… I got 15 positive responses for a Ben Affleck Trailer (high ben!) telling me how much they loved my writing. Great right? Except that there’s  no writing on that post.

The other new spam I get is the strange off the wall unrelated post… once I got a response to a bad day at work blog from the  city of Sacramento – telling me more facts about the city than I really give a shit about.

So to all you spammers out there who throughout the years have made my life a living hell I have two messages.

Number One

I think I finally got my filter setting straight – so as much as I will miss laughing at your grammar and your overall lack of knowledge of the English language. It’s time we said goodbye.

Goodbye. No really Good bye. Go the fuck away.

[{(ironically while I was typing this post the site got hit with somekinda something attack and now there are 1700 emails in my inbox saying "message delivery failed" - great. :rolleyes:  - ) upon further reflection these seem to be a problem with my hosting company  - maybe.. hopefully} oooh look double brackets!! and now it's triple brackets! ahhhhhh!]

Now for all you real peeps I have a bonus track.

I contemplated a second post about how much the economy sucks, or how nice it is to be inspired by something even if it is Ali Velshi talking about the economy tanking. But honestly  – I have a billion other things to do today…and long extended super blogs aren’t even close to the top of the list.
